CONTENT STRATEGY & PROMOTION

Chevy Music Showcase began as a strategic concept to help the Oklahoma Chevy Team Dealers claim a position as the “Official Vehicle of Bricktown," Oklahoma City's downtown entertainment district. The decision was made to wrap the local Chevy brand around Oklahoma’s rich local music scene and tap the passion of music fans to grow future purchase consideration for Chevy. Bricktown was the perfect playground! 

What started as a marketing strategy for Chevy in OKC quickly gained traction in other nearby Chevy markets. Chevy Music Showcase was picked up in St. Louis, Kansas City and Dallas/Fort Worth. Spanning a five year period, we had the pleasure of filming and promoting more than 90 regional bands!

From inception to every execution point along the way, Brand Talkers created a high profile brand and robust promotional offering to keep the local Chevy brand front and center around “all things music.” Anchored on TV and web, and supported through social media, print promotion and local events, this year-round short-form documentary series whas designed to help Chevy dealers build a different kind of emotional connection with their current and potential customer base.  After all, who doesn’t love a great song?!

2-MINUTE EPISODE

Each 2-minute episode featured one incredible artist talking to another, taking viewers inside an intimate conversation to hear what makes these musicians tick. Combined with just enough of a live performance to leave people wanting more, these episodes were designed to motivate and move people to go hear more live music and discover for themselves the power of great, original music.

Thanks again to the Chevy dealer groups in each Chevy Music Showcase market for having the vision and courage to go where no local automotive brand had gone before. Music appreciators everywhere applaud you!

NORTH TEXAS CHEVY MUSIC SHOWCASE - TV SPECIAL

This 30-minute show has it all ... great band conversation, killer music and a cool, new original song at the end, produced just for this show. This offered dialogue not heard in our weekly 2-minute episodes.

LOCAL PROMOTION

In each Chevy Music Showcase market, we sought and/or created local promotions that engaged music fans in high profile live music environments. In 2013, in North Texas, we partnered with Sundown at Granada to present a "Last Thursday Series," offering free live shows the last Thursday of each month, featuring popular local acts. Each show was supported with local media and aggressive social promotion. A great partnership between Chevy Music Showcase, the venue and the band, this free concert series proved to be a fan favorite.
